Steel, silicone, found objects

In this body of work I am exploring disparate objects’ ability to be combined to denote complexities of social identity in space. Sentimentality, construction, and stability are recurring motifs within my work as I strive to reveal the mystical ways that humans incarnate objects with fiercely poignant emotions and experiences. I am interested in the agency and materiality that nonhuman bodies possess and how the acknowledgment of such changes our perspective to one that is more responsible and discerning of our rhizomatic circumstances. The work evades analogous meaning, as uncanny encounters beget more questions before producing answers.
