Tracing Voids is a body of work that processes negative space, both physical and emotional, that come to be by way of historical loss and familial reltionships. Voids take a profound role in understanding personal history, giving shape and boundaries to all that exists around them. Materials that mimic that monumentality such as granite and steel are positioned along side ephemeral objects that are made from materials such as powdered graphite and thread.
